Well i tottaly fried my hair awhile back about june last year now its heathier then its ever been because i wash it only 1 time a week when i go out unless i go out more then that but i useally dont i know sounds gross but that oil is so healthy on your hair but to me it sounds as though your hair is healthy and i would use clarifying shampoo and conditioner it takes those oils out of your hair so you dont get greasy hair so easy

What's the most efficient way to remove the corn wax from apples?

So I've been reading that apples are coated with some sort of corn derivative, in order to keep them shiny looking at the grocery. My most recent batch of apples tasted horrible, so I decided maybe it was the corn wax. Before, I've tried soap and warm water, but it didn't remove the film at all. So far, the only successful way I've found is to drag a sharp knife along the apple, as if I was shaving it. This removes the waxy film, but isn't very efficient. Anyone know a better way?

What is this oily patch in my hair that wont go away?

I left my job trough bullying is there anything i can do?

I worked at poundland for just under 3 years, An american girl started to work there and she did not like me. I tried to get along with her after all its just work right, But she is one of those people if she don't like you then thats it. Then her husband started to work there and i thought great someone else to hate me. Anyway things got worse she started saying things about me so i wrote a status on facebook saying i know what you've saying about me f**k off you lard ***! we have newspaper on the bottom of his cage to catch his poop. he literally lifts the screen to nibble on the paper! why is this. also we have put all sorts of different mineral bars in it nut he wont touch any of them. he seems pretty happy. recently iv been finding alot of (new?) feathers. they are like strait and have a waxy coating a pinch it and the coating falls off and the feather fans out beautifully.

I have to do this project for school to identify the plants. It is fairly close to the ground, with small leaves that don't have smooth edges. EOS is a very good and organic! Chapstick Pepper Mint or Spearmint is more towards what you would be looking for. Some have found EOS to be waxy, i haven't. I love both, but I like EOS better!

I would read more but I have one very important tip: Don't have your characters tell us how they feel, show us how they feel. Don't say, "This greatly angered me." Show us that it angered her. Don't tell us something hurt her feelings or killed her, show us that it did. Having a character announce their feelings is weak and is a sign of bad writing, using the characters behavior to show us how they feel makes it more believable.

Finding souvenir front page newspapers?

I have a friend who is a volunteer at her local library. While sorting through book donations, she came across some front page newspapers she thought may be valuable. Most were wrapped in plastic and we think they came from a catalog and are not worth very much. I recalled seeing them in gift catalogs, but I cannot seem to locate them online. That cloudy ear feeling for over 2 months?

Okay, so I've been having that water logged/cloudy feeling in my ear for over two months. I've tried all the old remedies (oil, sleeping on the ear in question, swallowing repeatedly etc) but none have worked. I keep my ears clean so it's not that they're dirty/waxy. And I'm not sick, nor am I prone to ear/nose infections. I just don't get it It's really starting to get annoying (I can 'hear' my head moving, when I swallow saliva, chewing etc). Should I go to my Dr? Or would that be a waste of his time and mine?

I got a call from my mum today while I was at the city with my friends and she asked to me inquire about the watch that she wanted at this specific jewelry store. I knew what the watch looked like because my mum pointed it out before in the sale catalogue. Before I had time to answer my friends thought it'd be amusing to shout 'YES." The saleswoman seemed surprise and she kept asking me if he was rich and handsome. She kept going off rather unprofessionally about my how supposedly lucky my non existent boyfriend was. At this point I was extremely embarrassed and very uncomfortable, but my *wonderful* peers decided to take advantage of the awkward moment and hint that my non existent boyfriend was an unemployed nobody. The saleswoman continued to patronize me saying that he probably had a secret hidden stash of money at home hidden from me and that he was a drug dealer. At this point nobody laughed not even my friends because I just stood there stunned. She walked away and I immediately left the store. I probably over reacted but the woman's intentions were to humiliate me which was a shame because I didn't tell my mum about that specific store and found another one with a better price on the watch. Rabbit Anal Gland Build Up?

My bunny Hefna is about 3 years old. Tonight while I was clipping her nails I decided to trim her up, she's half lionhead half Dutch and super fluffy, as she had a bit of messy fur. While clipping I found two large, brown, waxy...things that scared the daylights out of me! I VERY carefully was able to remove them and panicked when I found a hole either side of her pubic mound that had tanish brown goo that smelled horrible. I was beside myself until a few Google results later. I understand they are anal glands now, but how do I know if she is infected? Also, is there anything I can use to help prevent infection/keep her clean? I'd like to avoid a vet trip if possible, but I will bring her if this is serious. I'm starting to get really worried, whenever someone yells at me, (ie. My mom, a friend, my dad.) I cover my ears and clench, my eyes and start to cry. I don't think it has anything to do with being Asian. It probably has more to do with not wanting other people to know that we wasted our time and money on a completely boring trip. We want other people to think we are having a great time and want them to wish they could be where we are.

I want to try a new concealer because I'm using rimmel at the moment and I find its too waxy and it looks obvious that im wearing it if you know what I mean. Do you recommend me to use a liquid concealer instead? And which brand? I have combination skin if that helps. I'd like something with a good coverage because I like to use a sheer foundation/tinted moisturiser and that's not enough to hide my dark circles and occasionally I get spots too. We work together and he is 5 years older (I'm 19). He stopped by my station like everyone does who I work with and sat down. He was training another guy because it was his first day. He started asking us both questions to get to know us better but then it became him just asking me questions. They weren't normal get to know you questions. They were are you a tomboy or a girlie girl, take out and a movie or classy restaurant, jeans or a dress, tattoos (which he has three) or piercings, high heels or flip flops. Then the guy he was training asked me jokingly boxers or briefs. The guy who was asking all the questions wanted an actual answer. I've been through the getting to know you questions before, but these were totally different and seemed a bit flirty. Does it mean anything or is it just some different questions he was asking??? He was quite serious in asking the questions and wanting the answers. The next time I worked with him he came in right at the beginning of shift, which no one EVER does. We chatted and then he said he would be back later. He came up to my station a second time, towards when I should have gone on break but the officer that was supposed to give me my break had a call. He kept muttering where are you (insert officer's name), and I'm not sure that he knew I could hear him. He left to take his break while I waited for the officer to give mine. When he left he joked about how much I talked (neither of us said very much this time), and I told him I just couldn't shut up (very sarcastically), and he laughed and said shut up and that he'd see me later. The third time he came in he saw the other officer (a girl, plus officers aren't supposed to stay that long) and he told her to get the **** out (in a sort of joking tone). He drew a picture of me, keeping it very secretive and wouldn't show me or the other officer (a girl) what he was doing. He finally held it up so she could see and said it's pretty accurate huh.We joked around some more, and he said I should come to the show (something that was going on where we work), even though he knows I can't leave my station. We joked some more about that, and he left. Is he interested???

Help name this flowering plant?

I live in North Central Texas. Bought at Home Depot 2 years ago with no tag. It is very heat tolerant, probably about 6-8" tall. Best I can remember, the blooms started of an orangish color, slowly turning yellow before the bloom dies off. The leaves were very deep green, almost waxy looking. I planted just a few plants, and they quickly filled in the flower bed. Did great in the sun with frequent watering. I planted in early spring, and they bloomed heavily all summer up until the end of November, died off at the first hard freeze. I have endless anxiety over blocked ears?HELP!!!?

frequently like once or more times a month this happens. Are the following syntoms normal. blocked feeling in ear like and object or just something in there, when my ears touched it feels like a blankets over it and you sroke it-this sort of noise(i hear this when i move also,when my ears blocked), tinnitus(i have this reguardless of blockage but blockage alters it), seashell noises like when you cup your ears with your hands or when severly blocked a loud rumbling sound like when you yawn,minor or severe hearing loss or even just change in sounds, and horrible discomfort i cant discribe. its like the fear of my life and i get stressed beyond anything and mortified when it occurs. i,ve had so much history with blockage that sometimes when i have waxy ears it just feels clogged but its only wax, i have an ent and he said its clean and my hearing checks out. maybe im sensitive to hearing loss, another thing when i sleep and roll on my side my ear gets blocked then i wake take my ear off the pillow then it pops to normal, if it remains clogged then its wax blockage but if it pops is it only trapped air?is their anyone else who feels hopeless and feels like its impossible feeling? its rare for it to block naturally its usually the result of an ear bud, it doent make it better or worse!!!please HELP?its ruin my life guys!!!!!

Hello, I just turned 20 and have always been healthy and had a good stocky build to my body, aswell as going to the gym and lifting, but i've been doing some research and i cancelled my gym membership and bought P90X, And after trying it out, it's way more intense of a workout. Now that you know i'm using P90X 6 days a week, my question is i always have been taking Whey protein 30 minutes after my workout, but I just bought some creatine with waxy maize starch, called "Perfect Storm" Is this good creatine? AND when should i take the creatine?? The guy at the nutrition store i bought it from said take it immediately after i work out, then the Whey protein 30 minutes after for absorption purposes. But is this correct? Would it make more since to take it before i work out to help with strength ect ect.. Please help any advice would be great! Thanks!

Weird pine looking plants growing in my potted plant.?

I just recently noticed that there has been a rather weird looking plant growing in my clovers. It looks like a small, waxy pine cone and there is several of them in fact. I would think it has something to do with the fact that my cat has decided that my clovers was a good place to use the bathroom. I would consider replanting them however it seems this weird plant seems to grow through out the plant itself. If I were to replant the clovers I would replant the strange one as well. I was wondering if anyone knew what this strange plant was and is it harmful to my other one? Is it a type of fungus and is there any way of getting rid of it without harming my plant? White flakes on subwoofer amp ground wire?

i was wondering if anyone knows why my ground wire for my amp for my subwoofer keeps corroding. its happend twice so far. i noticed this white waxy flakey stuff on it and both ends of the ground wire had it. ive had the amp for 2 years and never had this problem. is my amp ok? the corrosion isnt very bad just dirty. and i disconnected it all. please hellppp!

Shampoo buildup vs. Hairspray buildup?

There is buildup in my hair. I have a history of shampoo buildup (i think) and switch shampoos every once in a while. I was looking up remedies and I found one for 2 parts baking soda, 1 part water, but then I saw for hairspray buildup a mix of baking soda and shampoo. I use hairspray everyday now, to keep my hair straightened. But I dont know the difference between the two. My hair is kinda dry, but not too bad. But there's a real waxy buildup at my roots ESPECIALLY at the back where the part ends and brushes down, and then at my part too. So does anyone know whats up with my hair? Do these baking soda mixes work? Will they dry out my hair? Should I get a deep conditioner too/instead? Thank you for any advice.

it sounds like it's just a persistant spot that's irritated by the fact your skins oily, try using an un-perfumed face scrub like St Ives and may i suggest buying a face sauna kit, they're not expensive and the heat will draw out the oil in the skin. I had a similar problem and when i used the face sauna i found that my skin became less and less oily.

I've used Pantene, Garnier, Tre Semme, Herbal Essences, and some others but I need a shampoo/conditioner that provides the best quality for dry/dull/course (in some ares), hair. I've used many serums, moisture renewal shampoos/ conditioners, and this waxy stuff that I smooth on (it's by the Body Shop) and I'm so sick of trying all these sham/cond brands that aren't doing that great for my dry hair. I'm on accutane so why is the crown of my head greasy?

My hair has always been a little bit on the greasy side but it was never noticable until about the second or third day after washing my hair. Currently I am on a form of accutane called claravis (this is my fourth month) and my hair can hold up to three days without being washed and it still looks clean. Still I am used to having slightly oily hair so I still wash my hair everyday. But all the sudden yesterday I noticed, after my hair air dried, that I had a greasy spot on the crown of my head and nowhere else. Its kind of waxy feeling and almost seems like I didn't wash out my conditioner but the thing is I never use conditioner on my roots. I made sure I got all the residue out of my hair today but the greasy spot is still there. I'm so confused because accutane poisons your oil glands and significantly reduces their production. Also I started sleeping on a towel the past few nights so my moisturizer wouldn't get in my hair. Could that be it? But I keep my hair up in a bun. And I haven't changed any of my hair products. We work together and he is 5 years older (I'm 19). He stopped by my station like everyone does who I work with and sat down. He was training another guy because it was his first day. He started asking us both questions to get to know us better but then it became him just asking me questions. They weren't normal get to know you questions. They were are you a tomboy or a girlie girl, take out and a movie or classy restaurant, jeans or a dress, tattoos (which he has three) or piercings, high heels or flip flops. okay,so like 5 years ago me and my sister were obsessed with collecting stickers, all sorts of stickers, and we used to keep them in these books, they had like waxy pages so that you could place down a sticker then you could rearrange it to a different position easily, so the stickers did stick to the page, but you could easily peel it off incase you wanted to use it or put it somewhere else. My ear is plugged... What should I do?

I have been having some pretty waxy ears lately (actually for a long time). I clogged my ear once by using a Q-tip so then after going to the doctor who gave me these drops that didn't really help, i stopped cleaning my ears and just let my body take care of it. Recently, I tried the hydrogen peroxide cleaning method and when i tipped my head over nothing came out but my ears weren't plugged. Today, I used a Q-tip again and my ear got plugged again so I used Hydrogen peroxide and nothing came out and it was still plugged. I just took a shower and used a Q-tip when i came out again and like the beginning part of the ear canal had like no build up but the back did but it hurt putting the Q-tip in that far. I don't know what to do. My ear is plugged and its annoying and frustrating. I'm thinking I should try the hydrogen peroxide procedure everyday since my ear wax in the back may be really hard until it softens and comes out? Should I do it after a shower when it is more likely to be softer? Please HELP!

Why are my dog's ears dirty?

My dog's ears are super dirty. I clean them out every other day and retrieve a dark reddish-brown waxy substance. When I first got him a coupld months ago, I cleaned out 32 Q-tips worth of gunk. Pregnant... Or not? Miniature mare question?

About 3 weeks ago I purchased a 12 yr. old registered miniature mare from a local farm. They told me they had purchased her as a bred mare but she never foaled so they assumed she was not pregnant. They guesses they have owned her her close to a year. Today the farrier came ut and was trimming her feet, when he was done he asked if she was pregnant. I told him no but it got me to thinking. I went online and read up on some symptoms. I can feel a thick waxy like substance on her teats but she is not bagging up. I read though that if they are on pasture, which she is, that they sometimes won't? Also when wboughtht her her stomach was very round and it has moved to where she looks thinner but Im not sure. This afternoon I was laying on my bed, eyes closed, yet not asleep. Then, well, I'm not sure how to describe it.. I became encapsulated into a mist and I saw a woman with short blonde hair who looked very sophisticated. She eminated evil. She was muttering gibberish, then she said.. There is buildup in my hair. I have a history of shampoo buildup (i think) and switch shampoos every once in a while. I was looking up remedies and I found one for 2 parts baking soda, 1 part water, but then I saw for hairspray buildup a mix of baking soda and shampoo. I use hairspray everyday now, to keep my hair straightened. But I dont know the difference between the two. My hair is kinda dry, but not too bad. With a young child and two dogs, I find that I'm mopping my floor near daily. My husband and I have started noticing a waxy feeling on the floor and the floors feel sticky with shoes on, making that awful noise. Would this make a good outdoors knife?

What bothers me most is that they don't say what it is made of. A good design means nothing if it is made of inferior materials. In my opinion it is made of inferior steel since they don't specify. If it was made of top quality steel they wouldn't hesitate to say so. The second is the design is useless, made for looks but not for the "real" world. In real survival situations simpler is better. A kukri is designed as a hacking blade, not for slicing. The saw back would do nothing but weaken the blade, if the blade were made properly you would be able to hack through a limb much faster than you could saw through it. That is why I use the kukri design in my machetes. Look for a quality knife, for corrosive environments stainless is best but for edge holding and strength carbon steel is best and for a survival knife a selectively tempered blade of 5160 is the best. I regularly make these that can be dropped on their points form eye level and leave a divot in my concrete floor without damage to the blade. Good luck.

Left ear does not feel right?

If you must look in the history of my ear problems I have previous questions. My left ear feels louder when I touch it like alittle stuffy. There might be some wax outside in the outer canal and it's making me obsess about it. It's hard to tell if the ear has hearing loss, maybe alittle. A cotton bud will either block it or make it worse but possibly better I don't know. Cutton buds usually clean the outer canal but block it making hearing a bit different which I'm hypersensitive to. So is this normal when the canal is slightly waxy like it's loud when you talk. My blocked ears usually remain until I get used to it then it goes away. Please help!

Having Problems After Removing Braids From Philippines (URGENT)?

I did hair braiding for half of my head in Boracay, and i removed it after 1 week. However after removing, the area which was braided feels sticky, waxy and hard. The other parts of my hair is still smooth and flowy except the top half head. It seems like hard wax or glue which was used during the braiding process remains on my hair. Why are my dogs ears getting so dirty all of a sudden?

We got a dog about 3 months ago and he had an ear infection. We took him to the Doctor and they cleaned his ears out and gave him some medicine. Then our other dog that has never had problems with her ears got an ear infection we took her to the vet and got some drops and all that good stuff. But now both of their ears are getting really waxy, but this time it is the other ear on both dogs. How do I come to terms with the fact I want to leave my husband?

I am looking for a new shampoo/conditioner and styling aid for my hair. It's very dry, breaks easily and it is super curly. Even though it is very curly, I have baby fine hair. I don't know anyone else who uses carmex as frequent as me. it does contain addictive properties. it contains menthol and comphor and phenol (as I'm reading it off the tube at the time) and is very addictive! those are addictive ingredients. I have heard rumors that it contains an ingredient present in cigarettes. I cannot go 10 min without applying carmex and have used it forever! It's on my face, ears, nose, and neck. It's not limited to areas I shave, It doesn't cause pimples & looks like age spots or just rough skin, but the darkened areas are layers of dead hair and skin. I routinely exfoliate, scrub and shave. Each darkened place or rough patch has hundreds of short hairs, not attached to the root and layered in all directions. As each layer is scrubbed away, you can see the layers below, sometimes 3 or 4 layers have to be removed before you get to new healthy skin . It doesen't appear to be infected , but the hair is trapped in dead skin and a waxy build up. As I exfoliate vigorously, the layers come off to reveal new skin and new hair, again, still growing, under the skin, sometimes growing horizontally up to an inch long. It occurs mostly around my sideburns, neck, around the edges of my lips, top of my nose and the outer edge of my ears.

Should I buy VANS or TOMS?

You should most definetly go with the TOMS. Not only is there the "one for one" they look nice and they are light on your feet, good for running, walking, biking and other outdoor activities. Vans are kind of clunky like on your feet and its not as easy to run in them. We have our books sorted by topic, or series. Our series collections are alphabetical by author's last name. For example we have all the DK books in one place and all the Osborne books in one place. They usually have the topic written on the side. (We don't have them with the front facing out- just shelved). There are some labels on certain things. We have a HUGE collection of autism resources (we should start an autism book store, I swear) and it is labelled with dates because autism research goes gets old really fast. Certain other books have labels on the shelves too. We haven't cataloged them though. I don't see the point really because I can find things easily.

Sometimes friends opinions can be very judgmental, but they can also be the most help. I've gone through a similar experience as you (not the same criteria, but similar idea) the entire friendship is one sided. It's never a good thing to have, friendships are supposed to be two sided. I suggest backing slowly away from the friendship, not leaving it abruptly. I'm guessing you spoke to the friend in question about your feelings and how you feel, and still she refuses or forgets to change. Make yourself less available for her, start denying hang out session, make yourself unavailable to talk maybe then she'll realize the importance for your friendship, if not, at least you're growing away gracefully rather than through a fight or negative feelings, so you can still consider her a friend, just not a close friend, that way there is no drama between you two.
