Weird pine looking plants growing in my potted plant.?

I just recently noticed that there has been a rather weird looking plant growing in my clovers. It looks like a small, waxy pine cone and there is several of them in fact. I would think it has something to do with the fact that my cat has decided that my clovers was a good place to use the bathroom. I would consider replanting them however it seems this weird plant seems to grow through out the plant itself. If I were to replant the clovers I would replant the strange one as well. I was wondering if anyone knew what this strange plant was and is it harmful to my other one? Is it a type of fungus and is there any way of getting rid of it without harming my plant? I hate to see my clovers die. They are my oldest plant, many years old in fact. Thank you so much :)
