My ear is getting sucked out...?

Okay so i couldnt really hear out of one ear, so i went to the doctors and he told me i had a build up of gunk in my ear, and he gave me sodium bicarbonate drops. one week later the gunk was gone...one month later, the gunk was back! he is referring me to an ENT specialist, and im quite scared because they are going to suck the waxy build up out of my ear. I am pretty scared, has anyone else had this done? and if so, what does it feel like, and does it hurt? THANKSSS :D
